I’ve been involved in music since early childhood. From the age of seven, I took part in vocal clubs at school, and I sang in a children’s ensemble for about three years until we left for the US. Once here, I sang in the school choir and later took private vocal and guitar lessons. For over 25 years now, I’ve been writing songs and playing a little guitar, and honestly, I can’t imagine my life without music!
To me, music is so much more than a set of sounds arranged into a melody. It is a part of my soul and an energy I am happy to share with you (even though, as an introvert, it’s a kind of torture every time 😅)!
Most of my songs are in Russian, but when inspiration strikes, I write in English as well. Many of them can now be heard under the “Music” tab. If you’d like and are able to, you can purchase them here, here, or here, which helps me a lot in recording new songs! To be honest, I barely earn anything from music and don’t really expect anything from this endeavor anymore. But it’s really nice to know that my songs, which I pour my soul, effort, time, and money into, mean something to someone! It motivates and inspires me to keep recording.
I tend to write about various aspects of life and love, and my songs are a reflection of my inner world. Besides my own songs, I also love recording covers of my favorite songs from my youth. It’s really fun when I manage to give them a new, interesting sound, and I’m always amazed by the variety of people’s reactions to the same song.
